Las Vegas Taxi Protest

A few months ago I spend a day working on the Las Vegas taxi workers' campaign. The drivers there have been continuing to mobilize around the excess of cabs that the Transportation Authority allows on the road. Earlier this week my friend Cesar, an organizer with ITPEU, sent me some links to news coverage on a traffic stoppage the drivers planned in protest of the TA. He, Karla, and Sam were running to catch a plane to Chicago for an AFL-CIO training so I didn't get a chance yet to hear more of the details. I am pleased to see that things are going well for this group and hope to catch up with them again should I make it to Vegas in June (!)
